You can also catch the 251 bus (Northland SC - City (Queen St) and change to La Trobe University service at Clifton Hill or Northland Shopping Centre.

Use the 350 bus if you're travelling from the Melbourne CBD.
This is the fastest route to the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus from the city. The bus runs along the Eastern Freeway. Estimated travelling time is 45-50 minutes. Departs from the terminus in Queen St near the corner of Little Collins St and runs via Queen St, Lonsdale St. You can also connect from Parliament Station by walking to the corner of Victoria Parade and Nicholson Street.

Use the 548 bus if you're travelling from Kew or Ivanhoe.
The bus connects with Ivanhoe Railway Station, the 24 and 48 trams at Burke/Doncaster Roads and the 72 tram at Burke/Whitehorse Roads.
The 548 is a good bus to use if you are travelling from the Boroondara area (Kew, Hawthorn, Camberwell, etc). Take a train to Camberwell, then take the 72 tram up Burke Road where you can change to the 548 bus.

Use the 550 bus if you're travelling from Northland Shopping Centre.
Travel time is approximately 15-20 minutes. You can travel on the bus with either a Zone 1 or a Zone 2 ticket.
If you live on campus, this is a great bus to catch to the movies and the shops at Northland.
Note: Service times are limited in the evenings and on weekends, so make sure you check the timetable.

This bus connects with the Hurstbridge train and the SmartBus 903 at Heidelberg.The 903 services Box Hill, Bulleen and Doncaster.
Buses run regularly in the morning and on the return trip in the evenings. The trip takes about 20 minutes and you can travel on the bus with either a Zone 1 or a Zone 2 ticket.
If you're travelling from the city, a good route is to catch the train out to Heidelberg and then the 551 bus to the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus. You can travel the whole way on a Zone 1 ticket.

Use the 561 bus if you're travelling from Macleod or Reservoir stations, Greensborough, Eltham or Epping.
The 561 links the Melbourne campus with the following stations:
- Macleod Station - Hurstbridge Line
- Reservoir Station - South Morang Line
- Pascoe Vale Station - Craigieburn Line
The service also connects the western part of Reservoir, Coburg and Pascoe Vale. The 561 accepts both Zone 1 and 2 tickets between Coburg and La Trobe University (including Reservoir). When travelling from the city, you should use this service after taking a train to either Reservoir or Macleod.

Not recommended for commuting to the Melbourne campus. The 566 bus follows a very circular route. There are usually better public transport options from locations along the route.

The NightRider service stops at the Melbourne campus every 60 minutes from 1.02 am to 5.02 am on Saturday morning and from 1.02 am to 6:02am on Sunday morning. On request, the NightRider Bus will drive into the campus for La Trobe students.
