Did you know that a train can be caught to La Trobe Melbourne from Bendigo via a connecting train to Reservoir Station on the South Morang Line and from here the No. 301 shuttle bus (running every 10 mins during semester) goes direct to La Trobe Bundoora. The journey should take around 2.5/3.00 hours, but the best thing about this is that the time can be taken up with either study or even sleep.
