About us
At La Trobe University, we engage with students, staff and the community to make sustainability central to everything we do.
We help develop responsible leaders, professionals and citizens by:
- Recognising that sustainability encompasses economic, social and environmental dimensions.
- Integrating sustainability across all operations, curriculum and research.
- Embedding sustainability within the culture and practices of the University through the broadest engagement with staff, students, employers and partners in the community and government.
- Becoming known as the leading sustainable university in Australia and a leader internationally.
Sustainability Strategy
La Trobe is embarking on the development of a 30 year Sustainability Strategy and Action Plan that will guide future sustainability initiatives, support sustainable development and lead positive change.
From March to August 2024, we consulted with the wider community to get their feedback on the future of sustainability at La Trobe. You can see a summary of the feedback we received on the Sustainability Strategy website.
We are currently incorporating this feedback into the strategy and look forward to sharing the finalised plan with the community in the first quarter of 2025.
