Aspire Early Entry to University
Step into the future with an early conditional offer to La Trobe.
The Aspire Early Entry program is designed to help take the stress out of Year 12.
What’s the Aspire Early Entry Program?
At La Trobe, there’s more than one way into uni. The Aspire Early Entry Program gives secondary school students like you the option to secure an early conditional offer to La Trobe before finishing Year 12.
We have five streams to choose from, so if you've given back to your community, achieved good results in Year 11 or taken university studies during school, you could get the reassurance that you have a place in your preferred course before exams finish.
Depending on the program you choose, there are other benefits as well. All Aspire students receive an Aspire ATAR or La Trobe Entrance Score to use as an entrance score to their preferred course. You’ll also get access to exclusive study support to help you prepare for exams, financial support for overseas exchange if you want to travel while you’re at uni, or credit for the uni subjects you’ve completed.
Aspire students can apply for most Bachelor’s degrees offered at La Trobe, so you’ll have lots of course options. No matter if you’re studying in Melbourne, or regionally in Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, Mildura and Shepparton, Aspire can help you access your dream degree.

FAQ
An early Conditional Offer gives you reassurance that you have a place in your preferred course before complete the final weeks of your Year 12. It guarantees you a place in your preferred course once you complete Year 12, as long as you meet the course’s adjusted Aspire ATAR, subject prerequisites and other essential entry requirements.
You can apply for all Aspire programs you’re eligible for, so you'll increase your chances of getting more than one early conditional offer into your preferred course.
However, there are different requirements for each program, so make sure you check that you meet all requirements.
La Trobe’s Aspire Early Entry Program is a way to access an adjusted Aspire ATAR for your preferred course and secure an early conditional offer. For some Aspire programs, you can also gain a La Trobe Entrance Score as an alternative to your ATAR.
Other entry programs provide options to boost your application and increase the likelihood of you getting an offer for your preferred course, but without the reassurance of an Aspire ATAR, early conditional offer or La Trobe Entrance Score. These programs range from additional consideration and ATAR adjustments for sporting commitments or educational disadvantage, to priority access for regional and partner schools.
An Entry Program at La Trobe provides various ways to boost your application with the aim of getting an offer into your preferred course.
Pathways help you get into your chosen course through enrolling into another qualification after you finish high school.
The dates that you will receive an offer or outcome will vary depending on the Aspire programs you've applied for. You'll find the most up-to-date application and offer details on the program details page of each of the Aspire programs. Year 12 applicants' conditional offers will be released from September.
Although you cannot defer an Aspire conditional offer if you have been made a confirmed offer (or unconditional offer) through VTAC, then you may be able to defer this. Please note that some courses at La Trobe University cannot be deferred. Our 'How to defer your offer' webpage provides details on these courses.
We recommend using a non-school-based email address as we continue to send information well into January and February. Your school email address may no longer be in service by that time. If possible, please avoid using an iCloud email address as some communication emails may not be received.
You can help your students access Aspire by understanding the different streams we offer.
Year 12 students who have volunteered, been involved with their community or been involved with leadership activities can apply for Community Contribution. Students who achieved good results in Year 11 can apply for Year 11 Conditional Entry. If your student meets the criteria for both streams, they can apply for both.
For Year 11 students interested in Aspire, they can apply for our Advance, Prepare or Achieve Plus streams to unlock university subjects to study in Year 12. These subjects could count as credit towards a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
It’s also important to know what students need from their school for their applications.
Year 11 Conditional Entry applicants need to have the School Endorsement Form filled in by a VCE or year level coordinator. Advance, Prepare and Achieve Plus applicants need to complete a form and have this endorsed by the responsible senior school teacher or equivalent.
