Tracey Banivanua Mar Scholarship
Background
This scholarship has been established to support a student undertaking a part time or full time Bachelor of Arts (on campus or online) or Arts (Honours) student, who demonstrate similar qualities of Tracey Banivanua Mar, to be a voice for 'their people:' communities and nations across the Pacific, women everywhere fighting for autonomy and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Are you eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or New Zealand citizen
- be enrolled full or part time in the Bachelor of Arts (or associated double degree) in Semester 1 2025 (studying online, on campus or both) OR
- be enrolled full or part time in the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Semester 1 2025 (studying online, on campus or both)
- be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and/or Pacific Island descent
- have achieved a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 or above
Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:
- application form addressing the eligibility criteria
- personal statement demonstrating future goals and ambitions and how the scholarship will benefit the recipient
- academic record
