Background

The NSW Government has provided funding to La Trobe University to support NSW students studying a degree at La Trobe University in Albury-Wodonga to connect with industry in the NSW Riverina region to complete a work-based learning placement as part of their degree.

Specifically, NSW students who complete an industry placement elective subject (not a core/mandatory placement subject) at a NSW organisation will be considered for a $2,500 bursary to support them to overcome any financial barriers in doing a placement subject. The bursaries will be available for study in Term 6 2023 and Term 1, Semester 1, and Semester 2, 2024 with a total of 30 bursaries to be awarded.

For further information on industry placement elective subjects, please have a look at our website: WorkIntegrated Learning and Placements, Careers and Opportunities, La Trobe University Details on subjects, how to apply, and resources to support you in finding a placement are available on the website. We also have Regional Engagement Officers who can assist you to find a placement through our already-established networks.
