Background

Andrea Hore, a part-time mature-age student, graduated from La Trobe University's Albury-Wodonga campus, with a Bachelor of Business (Enterprise Development) in March 1996. Andrea was tragically killed in the Bali Bombings in October 2002. To honour Andrea’s memory and community values, a gala dinner was organised in 2003. Friends, businesses, and local people from across the Albury-Wodonga community came together to raise sufficient funds to establish a La Trobe University bursary in her name. The Andrea Hore Memorial Bursary will be awarded on an annual basis and will benefit students studying at La Trobe within the Albury Wodonga region.
