FAQ Aspire Community Contribution
An early conditional offer is an offer to say you have a place reserved for you in the course you’ve applied for, but you will still need to meet any entry requirements that are outlined in your offer.
The Aspire Community Contribution program is open to all undergraduate courses at La Trobe.
However, some courses may be more competitive due to limited places (e.g. Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons) and Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons)).
If you don't meet the requirements for Aspire Community Contribution, you can apply for any of the other Aspire programs, provided you can meet their eligibility requirements.
However, you can also still apply for any of the courses via the normal admission process through VTAC.
Conditional offers will be released and received by applicants from September*.
Confirmed course offers will be released during the first round of VTAC/UAC offers.
The Aspire conditions are applicable only to the course that you have received an early offer for (this can't be changed).
You’ll still be considered via the normal admissions process for any other course you have listed in your VTAC/UAC preference list in order of your preferences.
If you’re a student volunteering with one of our partner organisations, you’ll receive an automatic conditional offer at La Trobe when you provide this detail within your Aspire application. The minimum requirement for you to attain a La Trobe conditional offer is set by the partner organisation. Please check with them to clarify the level of service you require.
To receive your conditional offer, you must follow the standard application process and ensure you meet the admission criteria.
We consider all community engagement, past and present, that makes a positive difference. Here’s some examples of Aspire students’ community work:
- fundraising for charity
- helping to run a school or community club
- coaching a sports team
- volunteering at an aged care home
- mentoring younger students
- leading as a school or house captain.
You can apply for all undergraduate courses at La Trobe through Aspire Community contribution.
You can apply for up to three (3) preferences, keeping in mind that some courses have limited places.
You may only receive one Aspire conditional offer for one of the courses preferenced in your application, in order of your preferences.
Students can submit their Aspire Community Contribution application and provide their VTAC ID once received at a later date. VTAC applications for the 2025 intake open in July, and students can submit their ID until 6 September, when Community Contribution applications close.
