In this subject you will have the opportunity to extend your knowledge and skills to complex and dynamic patient situations. Through lectures, online activities, workshops, clinical skills laboratories and clinical placement, you will focus on assessment and interventions aimed at arresting sudden deterioration of a patient's health. The clinical practicum will allow you to experience high acuity care settings and assume the responsibility of caring for individuals with time critical needs. To achieve the learning outcomes of this subject you will be expected to complete a range of written, verbal and clinical assessments within a 12-week period.
