Subject outline
Students will develop criteria for athlete talent identification from theoretical models and practical assessment. Students will study how athletes are identified in various sports through the key criteria of athlete development. Students will be introduced to the theoretical frameworks and models used to identify talented athletes. Taking a multidisciplinary approach, students will use a variety of assessments for the purpose of identifying talented athletes and their development. Students will be introduced to the potential outcomes of and the justifications for the useof talent identification and development (TID).
