Physiotherapy Practice Development A introduces students to physiotherapy citizenship including self-care and reflective practice, while enhancing interpersonal communication including giving and receiving feedback.The subject is designed to integrate and apply learning from the pre-requisite and co-requisite human biosciences and public health subjects. Students will have the opportunity to learn defined assessment techniques, safe and effective handling skills, engage in patient education and exercise based prevention and health promotion strategies with a focus on healthy populations. This is a blended learning subject, including workshops, practical sessions and seminars supported by online learning tasks. Innovative fieldwork experiences aim to broaden students' understanding of physiotherapy and the populations to which the profession provides service.
