Subject outline
In this subject, students are introduced to the theory and practice of clinical assessment techniques. Principles of normal and pathological body postures and functions are addressed. There is significant focus on clinical assessment of medical conditions such as musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders affecting the limbs and spine. Practical sessions develop clinical assessment skills used within the prosthetic and orthotic clinical setting and provide experience in the applicable assessment techniques.
