Subject outline

In this subject students are introduced to the government and politics of the United States and engage in discussion of the institutions, political culture and recent history of the country. There is some concentration on recent events and the implications for American politics, and the changing role of the United States in the world. Students are encouraged to link current politics to American films, novels and music.
