This subject offers an in-depth comparison of legal institutions, legal actors, and philosophical and methodological features of a variety of jurisdictions.In comparing jurisdictions on the basis of their languages, their conceptions of law, their primary institutions and their methods of dealing with legal rules, students will develop advanced skills in legal comparative analysis, will assess the usefulness of separating jurisdictions into two or more traditions or families and will be asked to predict likely future developments in various jurisdictions and globally.
