This subject addresses La Trobe's Global Citizenship Essential. Global Citizenship is about learning to live in an interconnected world, including the social, environmental, political and economic challenges this brings.

Subject outline

In this subject students consolidate the language skills acquired in VCE Indonesian (Second Language) or in their first year of Indonesian. Using a range of authentic audio-visual texts and task-based communicative activities students develop interpersonal skills and their ability to talk about their lifestyle in Indonesian. By the end of the subject students should be able to talk about their lifestyle and discuss current issues relating to Indonesian society and culture.

Information gap activities, engaging in "what if activities involving pair and groups and all four macro skills (e.g. reading, writing, speaking, listening), using learning journal to document problems and plan next steps.
