This subject provides a bridge between the Diploma of Children's Services to a Bachelor level of Early Childhood Education. Students explore historical aspects of Early Childhood Education and examine contemporary theory and issues that shape Childhood today. Subject content outlines the role of the Early Childhood Teacher and explores the notion of curriculum for young children from birth. Students establish their own identity as an early childhood professional and set goals for their future professional development.
