This subject prepares the student to be able to create automatable and repeatable deployments of networks and systems on the cloud platform. Key concepts such as cloud metrics, provisioning systems, data integrity and data security are also emphasised. This subject is designed to prepare students for undertaking a vendor certification.

Webinar presentation and open discussions on cloud systems. Self- checking open-ended questions to support the activities. Hands-on demonstration on deploying, managing and operating scalable, highly-available and fault-tolerant systems on the cloud.

03. Implement and test the networking features on a cloud platform

Activities:
Practical activity on implementing networking features on the cloud and testing them.

04. Implement appropriate data storage architectures within a cloud computing context to satisfy business requirements

Activities:
Practical activity on implementing storage systems and databases on a cloud platform

05. Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant applications on cloud

Activities:
Webinar presentation and open discussions on deploying and managing applications on the cloud. Self- checking open-ended questions to support the activities. Hands-on demonstration on deploying, managing and operating scalable, highly-available and fault-tolerant applications on the cloud.

06. Optimise the availability, performance and billing for a cloud-based system

Activities:
Webinar with open discussion forums. Knowledge assessed via online quizzes and self-paced online problems.
