Subject outline
In this subject students build on the foundation skills taught in CHI1001 and further extend their communicative repertoire with the topics such as making appointments, studying Chinese, school life, shopping, and using transportation. Students learn to write a further 180 characters, bringing the total to 300, and learn to recognize up to 400 characters. The focus will on the improvement of speaking, listening and writing skills. .
