Subject outline
This subject introduces students to a transdisciplinary approach to Creative Arts. Transdisciplinary creative arts practice occurs at the intersection of creative writing, performance, media arts and visual arts - opening these disciplines to practices and ideas that they share but that also transcend each of these individual disciplines. Intuition and play are fundamental to the skills and concepts of creativity that are introduced in this subject. The Essential for this subject is Sustainability Thinking in relation to the arts and creative practices, amongst other ideas emphasising the use of found and recycled objects and materials put to creative use in artistic practices.
