Subject outline
Drawing 1 covers the perceptual, observational, experimental approaches and the technical processes of drawing. Methods of drawing and investigating visual systems that relate to contemporary art practices will be undertaken through a series of linked projects. Through these projects the students will develop their understanding of the role of drawing and its relationship to contemporary visual practices. This expanded practice of drawing is informed by investigations of contemporary drawing practitioners.
