Subject outline

Studio Studies 1 - 2D Visual Practice provides a foundational study for the exploration of the image and introduces the student to a range of 2D studio practices. The exploration of studio practice in painting and drawing is the focus of the skills and concept development in this semester. Engaging in these intensive studio skills and concept development is then extended into a student directed work that is the culmination of the semester#s work. Developing the foundation skills, knowledge and capabilities as a practicing artist is expanded with learning the critical reflective skills of analysis and evaluation of the student's own and other#s work. This is supported by in-class discussion and reviews during the semester.
