Subject outline
Industry Innovation Challenge provides you with an opportunity to develop a real-world solution to a real world challenge devised and developed in consultation with industry partners. You will work in a workshop environment on campus to critically engage with industry challenges,identify barriers to best practice, and develop, design and test a creative solution. During the Challenge, you will work in a cross-disciplinary team with other students and will be mentored by a postgraduate student. You will also have the opportunity to network with representatives from industry partners. At the end of the Challenge, you will pitch your solution to the Challenge to the Industry Representatives, who will assess the feasibility of your solution and quality of your presentation.Industry Innovation Challenge addresses La Trobe's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Essential. Innovation and Entrepreneurship entails developing the ability to tackle problems creatively, generating new ideas, taking calculated risks and creating change to achieve ambitions - now and in the future.

Special conditions This is a select entry subject. The Subject Coordinator must provide written approval before students can enrol. Students must have completed at least 120 credit points before the time of application and have a third-year Elective available in their Study Plan. Students must have completed the Career Ready Orientation.
