Subject outline
In this subject students are given the opportunity to develop skills in patient examination and differential diagnosis within a clinical reasoning paradigm. Supervised clinical practice encourages and facilitates rational decision making with respect to treatment selection, treatment progression and planning ongoing management programs.

Prerequisites Must pass (PTY5SEE & PTY5ACS & PTY5PDS) or (PTY5LSE and PTY5PSM and PTYPDS) and must be enrolled in one of the following courses: HMSPH - Master of Sports Physiotherapy, HZSPMP - Master of Sports Physiotherapy/Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy or HZSPMY - Master of Sports Physiotherapy/Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

Assess and manage an athlete/ client#s sportsinjury #related problems using appropriate communication and collaboration wth clients, coaches and other support staff, carers, family and health professional colleagues to at least the minimum standard expected for a postgraduate sports physiotherapist.
