Subject outline
In this subject, students learn about the sources, interpretation and use of health-related data, including epidemiological surveillance databases and quantitative and qualitative clinical and research data. The collection, analysis, and interpretation of epidemiological and health services data to inform decision-making in public health practice (including health management and policy formulation) is emphasised. Students will gain skills in critical appraisal and application of evidence-based approaches to protecting, promotion, maintaining, and restoring the health of the community.
