Subject outline
In this emerging level clinical practicum subject, students will consolidate, further develop and refine their clinical skills and patient management strategies. Students will be supervised in a relatively independent framework of practice, and students will have the opportunity to travel and undertake non-metropolitan placements so as to assist them to develop well-matched career interests and prospects. Students will undertake a five-week placement. At the end of the placement, it is expected that students will have achieved clinical competency within a clinical ophthalmology setting corresponding with an entry-level orthoptist.
