In this subject students undertake 20 days of practicum, 10 in an Early Years setting and 10 in an Upper Primary or Middle Years setting (where students are located in a P-12 school). Students undertake class teaching and other associated teaching duties under the supervision of a qualified teacher.

Graduate capabilities & intended learning outcomes
01. Students will successfully undertake 20 days of supervised teaching in a primary school context
- Activities:
- Students prepare lessons in association with a given pro-forma and work towards having full day control of a class over a four week placement
02. Students develop and present a practicum portfolio as part of their record of learning while on practicum. This portfolio, presented as directed in an on-line format contains a written reflection on a self-administered audio tape of teaching, an evaluation document on progress in association with AITSL graduate attributes, a copy of lesson plans with reflections and the school supervisor#s report.

- Prepare, teach, reflect and observe while on placement for 20 days in a primary school context.
