2017

Credit points: 15

Subject outline

Students examine possible roles in an early childhood context and recognise their own goals for leadership and management, identifying what success will mean in their future professional and personal lives. They also investigate the issues that shape early childhood leadership such as: policy, legal requirements, political influences, professional management, staff dynamics and wellbeing and geographical and socioeconomic factors. Additionally, students explore the varied forms of leadership that can be used to advocate for a stronger recognition of early childhood education as a professional entity.
