In this subject students develop communicative competence in topics of everyday interest in Chinese and Australian society including university life, travel, sport, family relations and education; consolidate skills in simple correspondence and expository writing and enhance oral and aural skills by viewing and discussing a Chinese feature film.

02. Students will be able to enhance their oral and aural skills by reading new texts and viewing and discussing a Chinese feature film. With the expanded vocab range they can talk and discuss with topics including university life, travel, sport, family relations and education.

Listening, reading new textbook materials, oral activities including dialogue, pair work and conversation with given topics, role play, discussion and debating
