Subject outline
Clinicians in a variety of health care settings require clinical leadership skills to facilitate client-centred evidence based care. In this subject students will examine the foundational aspects of clinical leadership with a specific focus on the psychological, ethical, cultural and political aspects of leadership. Students, assuming a role of change facilitator will specifically examine leadership in clinical practice which can facilitate professional development, cultural change and practice development. Specific change management and evaluation strategies such as action research and process evaluation will also be included.
