The La Trobe Student Excellence Academy recognises and rewards diverse forms of excellence and inspires the next generation of leaders.
How to join the Academy
Students will be accepted into the La Trobe Student Excellence Academy by demonstrating excellence in the areas of academic achievement, sport, community engagement, the arts and entrepreneurship. Entry to the La Trobe Student Excellence Academy is provided through either direct invitation or application. Applications are currently closed. Additional information about the application process can be found in the Application information for students document.
Important: If you have received an invitation from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor you do not need to apply.
Eligibility
To be eligible for submitting an application you must have completed 60 credit points of study at La Trobe University and have a WAM over 70%. The table below includes criteria that applicants must meet as well as invitees to the academy.

Entrepreneurship applicants | Submit an application to be assessed by the Excellence Academy team. |
Culture applicants | Submit an application to be assessed by the Excellence Academy team. |
Community applicants | Submit an application to be assessed by the Excellence Academy team. |
Academic Achievement | Acceptance of invitation for eligible students:
WAM over 80% for Albury-Wodonga/Mildura/Shepperton campuses |
Vice Chancellor Scholarships | Acceptance of invitation for students who have accepted a Vice Chancellor Scholarship. |
Military Veterans | Acceptance of invitation for eligible students:
WAM over 70% |
Elite Athletes | Acceptance of invitation for eligible students:
