Ganbu Djila Multipurpose Sports Field
Located at Charles La Trobe College, Ganbu Djila is our multipurpose synthetic field and is the new home of the La Trobe University Baseball Club as part of Stage 3 of the La Trobe Sports Park Precinct.
The field can be programmed for Football (Soccer), Baseball or any general sporting or recreational activity. Complete with certified LED flood lighting and accompanied by a pavilion with home and away team, officials and DDA change room access, the space is purpose built for any training or competition needs.
Charles La Trobe College consulted closely with the local Wurundjeri community in deciding the name for the new sporting precinct, with the name 'Ganbu Djila' stemming from the Woiwurrung language, meaning 'one play'.

- The new soccer pitch size is 91m x 63m
- The new baseball field is regulation size for competition
- The facility will have a demountable baseball mound so the field can be used for soccer and softball
- The new pavilion has home, away, visitor, umpire and wheelchair change rooms and toilets
- The new pavilion has club room and associated kitchen for baseball club with indoor and outdoor function space
