Eleni Lykopandis wins Tertiary Student of the Year award

Eleni Lykopandishas has won Tertiary Student of the Year at the Australian Information Security Association Awards

Congratulations to Eleni Lykopandis, who recently won Tertiary Student of the Year at the Australian Information Security Association 2024 Awards.

Passionate about cybersecurity and cyber solutions, Eleni has just completed her combined Bachelor of Cybersecurity and Bachelor of Criminology at La Trobe.

“I chose to study this degree because I am interested in technology, crime and security. This combination appealed to me because it prepares me for roles that address modern-day challenges, like combatting cybercrime, understanding criminal behaviour and working on investigations that involve both physical and digital aspects of crime,” she says.

Eleni says the course has provided her with many opportunities to expand her knowledge and networks.

“I have explored many topics in-depth, worked on practical assignments and collaborated on interesting projects that relate to both cybersecurity and criminology.”

The Australian Information Security Association Tertiary Student of the Year Award recognises students who have demonstrated outstanding commitment, skill and passion in the field of cyber security.
