Get moving during lock down with La Trobe Sport

Are you struggling to find the motivation to exercise during the second wave of lockdown? Need a little guidance and inspiration to get yourself moving? Look no further than our ‘Lock Down with La Trobe Sport’ campaign!

There’s no denying it, times are tough in Victoria at the moment. Not being able to engage in sport and active recreation like we normally do influences our ability to stay motivated or engage in a meaningful way with our families, communities and friendship groups.

That is why on Tuesday July 28, La Trobe Sport will be launching a series of initiatives and programs to encourage people of all fitness levels to get moving and connect with like-minded people in our vibrant active recreation community.

For the runners and walkers amongst the La Trobe community, Team La Trobe will be embarking on the Campus to Campus Walk & Run Challenge. Join us as we attempt to cover the 3,035km distance between each of the University’s seven campuses (Bundoora, City, Bendigo, Albury/Wodonga, Mildura, Shepparton and Sydney) by either walking or running.

The level of engagement you have for this challenge is completely up to you, with each team member working towards a common goal of completing the challenge within 21 days – every member is integral to the success of the team and every little bit counts!

The Campus to Campus Challenge will also be complimented by a series of daily health and wellbeing tips from our awesome Health and Fitness team, where you can expect to learn about the importance of mobility, developing stability and the connection between the body and the mind.
