La Trobe Swim School is running a 6-week Water Safety Program, specifically designed for adults of multicultural and non-swimming backgrounds.
The program aims to teach fundamental water safety and basic survival skills, allowing participants to develop their confidence and abilities, for lifelong and safe enjoyment in and around water.
Multicultural Water Safety – 6 Week program (24 & 31 May, 7, 14, 21 & 28 June, 4.30-5.30pm)
Cost – $90 per participant
What’s included
• Learn the fundamentals of water safety and essential survival skills
• Tailored program instructed by qualified, passionate instructors
• Six weeks of education in the pool (1 hour sessions)
• Gain proficiency and knowledge on how to perform basic rescue skills
• Master the use of safety equipment such as life jackets and floatation devices
• An overall deeper understanding of Water Safety and the aquatic environment.
What to bring
• Appropriate swimwear to each session (e.g., swimming shorts, one-piece bather, burquini, tight fitting leggings and swim top)
• Goggles
• Clothes for changing into following your session
