Make an impact on La Trobe’s Sustainability

La Trobe is excited to begin the consultation phase for the development of our new Sustainability Strategy, aimed at embedding sustainability in everything we do.

The uni cares tremendously for its environmental impact, and through implementing this strategy, we hope to address a number of areas to improve our impact and better the future for our community.

The Sustainability Strategy will be a long-term and aspirational strategy with key targets for environmental performance addressing energy, waste, biodiversity, water and climate, supported by a 10-year action plan. We’ll be integrating sustainable thinking and best practice into every aspect of our curriculum, teaching and learning, research and entrepreneurialism, operations, and infrastructure.

The new strategy will build upon our sustainability achievements to date, such as achieving net zero carbon emissions at regional campuses, earning Green Star community status, and notably, improving our rankings in global sustainability assessments.

To ensure the strategy reflects the diverse community at La Trobe, we want to ensure that everyone has the chance to contribute to the strategy.

This is your opportunity to make an impact for future students and better support the nature and environment that surrounds La Trobe!
