Have you ever thought, “wouldn’t it be cool if La Trobe had this?” but didn’t know how to make it happen? The Student Experience Grants might be exactly what you need to turn that idea into reality.
This is more than just funding, it’s a chance to shape your uni experience and make a lasting impact on the student community. Whether it’s a social event, an informational resource, or a physical/digital project, your idea could come to life. And the best part? It’s all backed by Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) – student money, driving student ideas.
Why you should apply
🎯 Skill development: From strategic planning to seamless execution, you’ll acquire key skills in leadership, financial management and event coordination – all valuable assets for your professional growth.
💡 Your voice matters: This isn’t just any funding, its student money being used to create student-led projects. It’s your chance to influence life at La Trobe.
🌏 Open to everyone: No matter your degree, campus, or year level. If you’re a currently enrolled La Trobe student, you can apply!
What happens after you get the grant?
The support doesn’t stop if you’re selected. You’ll be backed by the Student Voice and Partnerships team with regular check-ins to help guide your project’s progress. Whether you need advice, resources, or just a bit of reassurance, help is available every step of the way.
What could your project be?
Think social. Think practical. Think creative. Your idea could be part of a series of events, a new resource (physical or digital), or something entirely different, as long as it enhances student life and connects back to SSAF.
Want to nail your application? Here’s the secret:
• 🎯 Target a real student need – Make sure your project solves something that matters.
• 💥 Be impactful – Your project should leave a mark and make student life better.
• 🌍 Go big – The more students you reach, the better! Aim for broad engagement.
• 🛠️ Make it tangible – Show how your project will benefit students in a measurable way.
