Have you had the experience where out of the blue something occurs and you quickly try to solve it, and you play out all scenarios over and over, with a hefty toll on your wellbeing?

If so, the 3-week group program called ‘Getting Unstuck from Overthinking’, offered by the La Trobe Counselling team is for you!

The program offers fast and effective strategies shown to be effective in disrupting and managing unhelpful thoughts

Aims

  • Understand how our minds have evolved to think negatively, and the purpose and payoffs of overthinking.
  • Understand your own unique experience of overthinking and how it affects how you approach valued activities in your life.
  • Learn techniques to disrupt worrying, rumination and other unhelpful overthinking processes.
  • Learn strategies to effectively unhook from unhelpful thoughts and painful feelings.

Starting on Friday 12 April, there will be 3, 2-hour sessions on Friday between 11am – 1pm.
