Placement options for Semester 1 2025
1. Find your own placement opportunity: Student Sourced placements
We have information and resources available to support you with preparing for, finding and applying for your own placement opportunities.
You can also access the La Trobe Career Centre, which offers a range of tools to help you with your CV, Cover Letter and Interview Skills.
2. Project Based Placements: The Industry Venture Challenge
The Industry Venture Challenge is back in 2025! In this 8-week project-based placement program, students form interdisciplinary consultancy teams to solve real challenges for exclusive La Trobe industry partners.
Develop skills in communication, teamwork, planning, leadership and presentation, as you build your solutions and pitch your ideas to clients. Facilitated in partnership with the OPV Academic Team and La Trobe’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship team, our IVC students thrive in this high rewarding and inspirational program! Please note: During Semester 1, 2025 the above placement options are only available to undergraduate students. In Semester 2 2025, postgraduate students can also source their own placements or apply for the IVC project program as part of LTU5IND. More details to come!
