Celebrating National Student Volunteer Week

As a current student and social media intern at La Trobe University, I am thrilled to celebrate National Student Volunteer Week with all of you. In 2024, National Student Volunteer Week ran from 5 – 11 August. This week is a wonderful opportunity to recognize the incredible contributions of student volunteers who selflessly give their time and effort to make a difference in our community.

Volunteering has always been a passion of mine. Whether it is helping new students transition into university life as a La Trobe Leader, or training dogs at Dogs for Life, each experience has enriched my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. These roles have not only allowed me to give back but also helped me develop essential skills such as leadership, teamwork, and effective communication.

In recognition of National Student Volunteer Week, we wanted to shine a spotlight on the diverse and passionate volunteers at La Trobe. Our Instagram video captures brief yet powerful moments from volunteers, celebrating their unique contributions. Their stories are a testament to the spirit of giving and community that defines our university.

To all volunteers, thank you for your dedication and hard work. Your contributions do not go unnoticed and are deeply appreciated. Let’s continue to support and inspire each other to make a positive impact.

Happy National Student Volunteer Week!
