Feeling confused about how to manage your research data at La Trobe? Unsure of your obligations? No matter the type of data you're working with, this session will give you a solid understanding of the principles underlying management of research data at La Trobe University.

You will learn about:

  • why good research data management is important
  • La Trobe's research data management policy, and the context in which it sits
  • the importance of planning how you will manage your research data
  • strategies, options, systems, and services to help you with data storage, sensitive data, data retention, and collaboration.

Please note that the session does not involve hands-on training on any of La Trobe's research data management systems or data analysis tools.
