Peer Learning Advisors

Our Peer Learning Advisors (PLAs) are experienced La Trobe University (LTU) students specially trained to assist other students with understanding assessments and navigating university life.
PLAs come from many different discipline areas and offer support at every campus library as well as online. Check the Library opening hours to see when PLAs are available.
How PLAs can help
Our PLAs offer general guidance on a broad range of topics related to your studies. However, it is important to remember that this guidance does not replace any instruction provided by your lecturer or tutor.
PLAs can assist you with:
- understanding and unpacking assessment tasks
- planning and structuring essays and reports
- note-taking and study strategies
- basic referencing
- time management
- navigating the Learning Management System (LMS)
- adjusting to university life.
Note: PLAs strive to provide accurate information but cannot guarantee outcomes or take responsibility for errors. It is your responsibility to decide how to use their advice.
