Dardalis Archives of the Hellenic Diaspora
The Dardalis Archives of the Hellenic Diaspora (known as the Greek Archives) is a vast collection of materials related to Greek history and culture, Greek-Australian migration and the wider Hellenic diaspora. The items in the collection range from books, documents, photographs, films, newspapers, posters, physical objects and much more. These archives are of great value to the local Greek community, as they showcase its history and contribution to Australia.
Digital Dardalis
A highlight of the Archives is the Hellenic Folk Dress digital exhibition featuring Greek costumes from the Margarita’s Greek Folkloric dance group. The exhibition celebrates the importance of folk tradition by showcasing 11 complete folkloric costumes from different regions of Greece.
We are committed to the preservation of the collection and making these items widely available via digitisation.
