Student support
We pride ourselves on the friendly, supportive learning environment here at La Trobe Rural Health School.
We welcome and support students from diverse backgrounds, including Indigenous students, and value the contributions that all students can make.
Because we don’t have large class sizes, you’ll always be known by your name, and never feel like a number. You’ll always have great access to staff and our world-class teaching facilities.
Across all our regional campuses our students report a strong sense of belonging within their peer-group. Many lifelong friendships and professional relationships have begun at La Trobe Rural Health School.
Regional campus support
All our regional campuses have supports unique to their region. For more information on the support for each of our regional campuses select the regional campus below.
Regional Student Associations
Regional students can share experiences with their peers through the student associations:
Students at La Trobe Bendigo will soon share a representative body with other campuses, as the university's three student organisations amalgamate. Bendigo, Melbourne and Wodonga student representative bodies will merge to form one new group at the start of 2021.
Student testimonial
"For me, the benefits of being a regional student at a local university are significant. I have experienced life as a student at a Melbourne campus previously and felt that I was a number, a mere drop in the ocean. In Bendigo, you get to know your educators and fellow students on a more personal level. You feel supported. The relationships made at La Trobe Bendigo transcend far beyond university life."
