Facilities

Our department has access to state of the art equipment and facilities supporting a wide variety of research and teaching from systems ecology to genomics.

Facilities include:

  • Genomics platform
This facility provides investigators with the latest in 'next generation sequencing' equipment to facilitate wide-ranging research projects requiring highly detailed global DNA and RNA sequence analysis.
  • La Trobe University Herbarium (LTB)
Our herbarium holds more than 25,000 vascular plant specimens, mostly from Victoria, as well as a significant collection of algal specimens.
