La Trobe is a multi-campus university with a strong metropolitan base, and a network of campuses in regional Victoria. The main campus, Melbourne (Bundoora), is located in Melbourne's north east. Between them, La Trobe's campuses offer over 450 undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a variety of disciplines to over 26,000 students. A major new campus will open in central Melbourne in 2009, replacing the existing City Campus on Franklin Street.
