New program attracts overseas nurses

A new program at La Trobe University’s Bendigo campus has attracted 25 overseas nurses who will qualify to work in Australia at the end of their 13-weeks course.
Twenty-two of the nurses are from India, with one from Japan and two from the Philippines. The university is running a two-day orientation at the campus on 4 and 5 January 2010, for nurses attending the Initial Registration for Overseas Nurses program.
