La Trobe Shepparton Open Day
La Trobe University Shepparton campus will be opening its doors to the community, prospective students and parents at its annual Open Day on Friday 21 August from 3-8 pm, at 127 Welsford Street.
It’s a great opportunity to find out what La Trobe Shepparton offers in the way of teaching, courses, lifestyle and accommodation.
Open Days are another way to get a ‘sneak peak’ of life at University.
There will be information sessions about La Trobe’s Graduate Diploma in Middle Years, health science, education, and nursing programs.
In 2010, Shepparton campus will offer new courses including Health Sciences/
Master of Occupational Therapy Practice, Health Sciences/Master of Paramedic practice and Health Sciences/Master of Physiotherapy Practice.

3.30pm: Indigenous education opportunities
Staff from the indigenous support unit will be on hand to answer all your questions about study at La Trobe University.
4.00pm: Health sciences common first year
For those interested in a degree in any of the health sciences.
Come along and hear about La Trobe’s common first year.
4.30pm: Are you the first person in your family to apply for university?
There are many support programs available to help you settle in to University life.
5.00pm: Indigenous education opportunities (repeat)
5.30pm: Mature-age entry to courses
For those interested in starting a degree but left school several years ago, or you didn’t complete year 12 or you have incomplete tertiary studies.
Find out about when and how to apply, what’s involved in university study and what help is available once you’re here.
6.00pm: Graduate Diploma in Education (middle years)
For those who already hold a bachelor degree or equivalent and you intend to become a teacher specialising in the Middle Years (Years 5 to 10).
6.30pm: Are you the first person in your family to apply for university? (repeat)
7.00pm: Health sciences common first year (repeat)
7.30pm: Mature-age entry to courses (repeat)
