La Trobe University Open Day Bundoora: Open the door to your exciting future!
La Trobe University Bundoora campus will be throwing open its doors to prospective students and their parents on Sunday, August 30, for its annual Open Day.

Everyone from the community is invited to come and find out what La Trobe offers in the way of courses, teaching, lifestyle and accommodation. Its a great way to find out what University life is like on one of Australia’s most beautiful campuses, so come and see if La Trobe is right for you.
Many exciting events are planned with heaps of prizes to score on the day.
With over 3000 staff, and 20,000 students attending the Bundoora campus each day, La Trobe is one of the largest employers and educators in the Darebin area.
Covering over 500 hectares, the University is home to various world-class research institutes including the La Trobe Institute of Molecular Science (LIMS) and the $230 million Biosciences Research Centre, both of which begin construction this year. La Trobe also houses one of Australia’s most extensive collections of art as well as the renown the Borchardt Library. There is also a wildlife sanctuary and a gas turbine power plant on campus.
On Open Day, each of La Trobe’s five faculties- Law and Management, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science, Technology and Engineering, and Health Sciences will have course displays on hand with friendly staff and student volunteers ready to answer any questions.
Choosing a University course is never easy, but with over 400 courses on offer at La Trobe University’s Bundoora campus, there is bound to be something to interest you.
We have thought of everything to make Open Day as enjoyable as possible and will provide a free bus service to get around the campus from 10 am to 4 pm.
Other things to see and do at Open Day- try some bush tucker at the Ngarn-gi Bagora Indigenous Centre BBQ and take a look at the University’s academic gown display in the Borchardt Library.

• The current exhibition at the LUMA (La Trobe University Museum of Art)

• The Melbourne Wildlife Sanctuary opposite car park 8
• The Computer Studyhall, between Glenn and Menzies College
• The La Trobe University Sculpture Park, comprising 17 works. Maps of the
sculpture park are available from LUMA Ground Floor, Glenn College
• The Sports Centre, where you can swim, do weights or play basketball.

Health sciences:
Students will be on hand to demonstrate equipment used in their course at the Health Sciences Clinic.
Humanities and society sciences:
Media and TV production, archaeology tours and history talks, visual arts display and much more.
Law and Management:
Interested in being a Lawyer? Don’t miss our moot court!
Attend our moot court/witness examination demonstration and meet some of the Law School’s top mooters in a simulated court proceeding environment. 2.30 pm – 3.30 pm, Law School Room SS225, Social Sciences building.
• Student Exchange program presentations. Every hour on the hour in the Menzies College Conference Centre.

Get some great advice on ‘Pathways to Teaching’ at the info sessions that will be running all day.
