Australia because of the future she can see in the relations between China and Australia and La Trobe because of the beautiful campus, the offerings of the course and the real diversity that you can encounter in classes and on campus.
‘I see a lot of future in the business relations between China and Australia and I think this is the best time to study international business. China is separated from international standards on so many levels, and if it wants to increase its international business relations, it will have to understand the international business culture. I see a lot of opportunities for me worldwide after I finish this course, but I would really like to play a role in China’s development, so I will be looking at taking my acquired skills back to my home country.’
Now in her second semester of Master of International Business, Jenny made a lot of friends, she is enjoying her course and she was even awarded a La Trobe scholarship to cover the rest of her studies.
‘Receiving the scholarship came as a validation of my capacity to do well and it was very encouraging.’
Being in Melbourne also means that Jenny can go to one of her favourite events: the Spring Race Carnival. She loves horse riding and watching the races, but also dressing up and collecting fashion items, so she is already looking forward to this spring’s races.
‘Life is an experience. I am not focusing on the results. I want to enjoy the journey and learn as much as I can from it.’
While studying and enjoying all that Melbourne has to offer, Jenny is also working doing market research for companies such as Rio Tinto, developing her working contacts and extending her experience.
La Trobe University offers a variety of business courses at the Graduate School of Management.
