Classification and RemunerationLinking Process for General StaffFurther informationRevised Classification Descriptors, Organised by Classification Level Incorporating the Original Award Descriptors (in Italics) BackgroundAs part of the latest enterprise bargaining agreement the University is committed to implementing a process for linking of general staff in designated classification levels, consistent with the intent of clause 13 of the Structural Efficiency Agreement. The linking of classification levels is designed to provide an organised and agreed process for managers to meet the needs of the University through career progression of staff whose positions are determined to be suitable for linking. Eligibility and Criteria for LinkingThe levels that are eligible to be linked areThe incumbent must be at the top incremental point of the classification level to be able to be linked. Please note that linking to the higher level is not automatic and that the following criteria needs to be met for progression to take place for levels 3 to 4, 5 to 6, 7 to 8 and 9 to 10:
